Role Models is no longer trading
We'd like to thank our customers, our schools, our supporters, our team and our incredible role models for all the work they've done over the last 10 years. We end this journey thankful for the time spent helping thousands children build their confidence, develop meaningful friendships and try new things.
Learn to manage big emotions and increase emotional literacy. Including how to recognise, understand and talk about feelings.
Brilliant Me & My Feelings is specifically designed to help your child:
Recognise and identify their big feelings and emotions
Understand that all feelings are valid
Manage frustration
Develop ways to self-regulate
Know how to deal with worries and nerves
Think about their impact on others and the feelings they have
This course uses the power of storytelling and creative activities to help children learn to connect with and understand their feelings. 'Brilliant Billy the Bunny’ accompanies the children throughout the course to help them navigate their emotions in a fun and supportive environment.
Our pedagogy is under pinned by academic research and inspired by thought leaders in the space. Read more about our inspiration here.
On each day, two stories are shared with the children based around the theme of recognising and responding to a range of different feelings. Each story is followed by a creative activity which helps the children link the learning from the story to their everyday lives. Daily mindfulness activities are included to help the children learn to manage and respond to their emotions.
The stories shared in the Brilliant Me & My Feelings course are based around the following themes:
Recognising a range of feelings
Responding to anger
Kindness and how we make others feel
Dealing with worries
Feeling all feelings – even the uncomfortable ones
An example story shared during the course is the wonderful ‘Ruby’s Worry’ by Tom Percival. This story is all about Ruby; she loves being Ruby, until one day she finds a worry. At first it’s not such a big worry, but then it starts to grow. It gets bigger and bigger every day and starts making Ruby sad. Ruby finds a way to respond to the worry and feel like herself again. The story is shared and discussed as a group, followed by an activity where the children then make either a tiny worry doll or a worry box, and learn that it’s good to talk about the things that worry us. The story and activities help the children understand that worries are normal and we all have them, learning how to recognise and manage them is the important part.

Our team is delighted to offer this course to the children in the community of The KAUST School. KAUST is an international graduate research university on the shores of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia.
More than 120 different nationalities live, work and study on campus, and an International Baccalaureate school provides education for more than 1800 K-12 students. The school provides the Role Models with excellent facilities to deliver our workshops – to support children to develop life skills
All our courses are run in small groups. This ensures our Role Model can get to know each child individually.
To help with this, before the course begins, we ask you to answer a few questions about your child and any specific needs they might have. We will also ask about food allergies, medical conditions and any additional needs that our Role Model needs to know about.
It will only take a minute or two, and it ensures our Role Model has all the information they need to ensure your child has the best experience possible.

Our highly experienced team of Role Models are passionate about both education and social & emotional wellbeing. They’re energetic, engaging and curious. They’re adept at combining educational rigour with fun, to create active learning environments that children love. All have been interviewed by our Recruitment Team and are reference and DBS checked.

Our courses are not designed only for those who may be struggling with specific life skills. We believe all children can build on these essential skills in order to reach their full potential. Your child may need a boost in confidence, to strengthen their resilience or they may just need an opportunity to go outside of their comfort zone and challenge themselves by working with new people.
